Irene Manos Worthington, 87, of Blythewood, died Friday, February 1, 2019. Born in Columbia, on August 24, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Gus and Helen Kastanis Manos. Mrs. Worthington was a member of the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral.

Survivors include her step children, Michael Worthington, Lynn Case and David Worthington; sisters, Constantina "Dena" PapaJohn, Georgia Manos Karapiparis, Pauline Manos Chrysostomides and Chrisula Manos Capilos; brothers, Chris Manos and Sam Manos. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

The funeral service for Mrs. Worthington will be held 10 o'clock, Friday, February 8th, at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 1931 Sumter Street, Columbia, with The Rev. Fr. Michael A. Platanis and the Rev. Fr. Chrysostom J. Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow the service in Southland Memorial Gardens, 700 W. Dunbar Road, West Columbia. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
