Iris Droz Vazquez, 85, of Columbia, was born April 5, 1927 in Barranquitas, Puerto Rico. She was a daughter of the late Raymond Vazquez and Maria Vazquez Rodriquez. Her final days were spent surrounded by her family and loved ones in Columbia.

She was a seamstress for 40 plus years and enjoyed her word search & puzzle books, visits with her family & friends, her daily conversations with her best friend Haydee Cruz and Sunday service at the International Praise.

Mrs. Vazquez is survived by her 4 sisters; son, Richard Droz; daughters, Sylvia Droz-Vazquez, Iris L. Narganes, Rosa Maria Roman and their spouses; 14 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 6 great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Iris was preceded in death by her husband, Enrique Droz; brother, Joe Vazquez; and five sisters.

The funeral service for Mrs. Droz will be held 2:00 o'clock, Saturday, September 1st, International Praise, with Bishop Doyle Roberts officiating. Burial will follow at St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery, Elmwood Ave. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 o'clock, Friday evening, at Shives Funeral Home, 5202 Colonial Dr, Columbia.
