Isabella Blackburn Wilson Krause of Columbia, died Sunday, December 15, 2013. Born in Spartanburg, SC she was the daughter of the late Dr. Oscar Britton Wilson and Louise Arthur Claridge Wilson. Mrs. Krause was a member of the Pi Beta Phi Sorority; the National Society of the Daughters of the Barons of Runnemede; and was a longtime member of Trinity Episcopal Cathedral. A volunteer with the American Red Cross, she enjoyed giving of her time and talents to others through loving service. Mrs. Krause was a certified master gardener, and she served on the Board of the Dogwood Garden Club. Her caring spirit and love for life will be deeply missed by her loving family and friends.
Mrs. Krause is survived by her son, Francis Raymond "Stoney" Krause, Jr. and his wife, Joy; nieces, Louise Gregory, Harriett Bender, and Frances Nilsson; nephews, Charles Stith, Steven Everett, and Bill Everett. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, former Deputy Base Commander of Charleston Air Force Base, Col. Francis Raymond Krause, Sr.
A funeral service for Mrs. Krause will be held 11 o'clock, Thursday, December 19, 2013, at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral, 1100 Sumter Street, Columbia, with the Rev. Canon Charles M. Davis, Jr. officiating, followed by a reception for friends in the Stirling Room. A committal service will be held at 2:30 o'clock at Rose Hill Cemetery in York, SC. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Rose Hill Cemetery Association, PO Box 1225, York, SC, 29745, or to Trinity Episcopal Cathedral.
