Mr. Joe Marion "Jody" Lawrence III, 44, of Columbia , died Thursday, July 17, 2014. Born November 8, 1969 in Columbia, SC, he was the son of Joe Marion Lawrence Jr and the late Mary Beth Croxton Lawrence.

Jody was a member of Shandon United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Melissa Hayden Lawrence; daughter, Alexandra "Alex" Hayden; father, Joe (Peggy) Lawrence; and sister, Molly (Frank) Roddey, all of Columbia.

The service for Mr. Lawrence will be held 11 o'clock, Thursday, July 24th, at the Mausoleum Chapel of Greenlawn Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 190 Knox Abbott Dr., Ste. 301, Cayce, SC 29033.
