Jacquelin Craft Kelly, 88, of Columbia, SC, passed away on April 22nd, 2023. Mrs. Kelly was born on May 31st, 1934, in West Palm Beach, Florida, to the late Jack Gordon Craft and Rebecca Lawton Craft. Mrs. Kelly was a charter member of Northeast Presbyterian Church in Columbia.
Mrs. Kelly was a graduate of Anderson Junior College where she earned her associate degree. Soon after graduation, Mrs. Kelly pursued a career in real estate as a licensed agent. Mrs. Kelly was married for over 30 years to her loving husband, James "Jim" Kelly. Together, the two owned and operated Wild Birds Unlimited which opened in May of 1993. As their business grew to numerous locations around the Columbia area so did their love for each other. Mrs. Kelly loved her books, dogs, but most of all her family. She will forever be remembered as a wonderful wife, a caring mother, and a compassionate friend to all.
In addition to her husband, James "Jim" Kelly, Jackie is survived by her children: Ernest R. Childs, John Craft Childs (Teressa), Rebecca C. Pitzer (Scott), Thomas Gordon Childs (Lori); grandchildren: Haley Pitzer, Scott Pitzer, Kenneth Lee, Josh Childs, Lauren Childs, John Childs, Linda Marie Childs; and many loving great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Kelly is predeceased by her sister, Ann Craft Ellison, and great grandchild, Kingston Childs.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday, May 20th, 2023 at 2:00pm. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Kelly residence for the gathering located at 10 Faversham Court, Columbia, SC, 29229.
In lieu of flowers, memorials made be made to Pawmetto Lifeline and The Oliver Gospel Mission.
