Jacqueline J. Weaver, 89, of Cayce, died Friday, July 4, 2025. Born in Russellville, South Carolina, she was a daughter of the late John Albert and Bessie Catherine Mitchum Jackson and was married to the late Merle Thomas Weaver, Sr. for 54 years. Jacqueline enjoyed being with her children and grandchildren. Her cat, Miss Kitty, was very special to her. She also enjoyed shopping at thrift stores and yard sales. Jackie was a member of Green Hill Baptist Church in West Columbia, and she worked as a volunteer at the church's food bank.

Survivors include her children, Merle Thomas Weaver, Jr (Roberta), Russell Weaver (Kristie), Donna Moore (Dean), Debby Baynes (Casey); grandchildren, Merle Thomas Weaver, III (Vickie), Carrie Kennedy, Stephen Weaver, Ashleigh Gunter (Paul), Trey Legette, Joshua Hutchins, Jeremy Hutchins, Rhett Bennett (Jack), Jessie Keating (Ian); 14 great grandchildren; 3 great great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Jackie is preceded in death by her sister, Gertrude Clay and brother, Bertie Jackson.

A service will be held at 11 o'clock, Friday, July 11th, at Green Hill Baptist Church, 1800 Augusta Road, West Columbia, SC. The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 10th, from 5 until 7 o'clock, at Shives Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel, 5202 Colonial Drive, Columbia, SC. The entombment will follow the service at Woodridge Memorial Park, 138 Corley Mill Road, Lexington, SC. Shives Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel is assisting the family.

The family appreciates the excellent care that was given to Mrs. Weaver by Merle Thomas Jr. and his wife, Roberta, and Crescent Hospice in West Union, SC.
