Mrs. Jacquelyn Brady Looney, 76, of Columbia, died Sunday, February 9, 2014. Born October 3, 1937, in Columbia, she was a daughter of the late Clifford Torrence and Lorena Koon Torrence.
Mrs. Looney had retired from the South Carolina Department of Unemployment where she worked as a receptionist, and from Travelers Insurance. She was a lifelong member of North Trenholm Baptist Church, where she attended with her late husband, Marvin J. Brady, and she most recently attended Northeast Presbyterian Church, with Wyman M. Looney, her husband of eight years. During her retirement, she enjoyed traveling with Wyman. She was a loving wife and grandmother to eleven grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Wyman Looney; son, Michael Brady (Barbara W.); stepdaughters, Genie Murrell (Clay), Robin L. Smith (Jason); grandchildren, Kelsey, Kaitlyn, and Krista Brady, Kate, Andrew, and Robert Murrell, Jr., Noah, Louisa Gene, Dayton, Clara Jane, and Sara Elaine Smith; nephew, Donnie Torrence; brother-in-law, Milton Leroy "Roy" Looney (Martha); and sister-in-law, Sandra L. Bawlding (Bob). In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin J. Brady, Jr.; son, Marvin Joseph Brady, III; brother, Donald Ray Torrence; and nephew, Darren Torrence.

A funeral service for Mrs. Jacquelyn B. Looney will be held 2 o'clock, Tuesday, February 11th, at Northeast Presbyterian Church with Pastors George D. Crow, III, and John Roth, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service beginning at 1 o'clock.
