Jamea Worrell Long, 86, of Columbia, formerly of Florence, died Thursday, November 9, 2023. Born January 14, 1937, in Florence, SC she was a daughter of the late Howard Oliver, Sr. and Theresa Oliver Worrell. Mrs. Long was a lifetime member of Central United Methodist Church of Florence where she served in various capacities. Her biggest pleasure in life was giving of herself and time as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Survivors include her children, Kathryn A. "Kathy" Robinson (Redic Earl, III "Ed") of Columbia, SC, Stuart Oliver Long (Ophelia) of Dallas, TX and Lorenza D. "Lory" Long, III (Elizabeth) of Little River, SC; grandchildren, Ainsley R Johnston (John), Jennifer R. "Jenna" Taylor (Coles), all of Columbia, SC, Christy Long Wells, Michael Long, Candade Long Wheat all of Austin, TX, Amber N. Long and Lorenza D. Long, IV all of Florence, SC; great-grandchildren, John and Oliver Johnston, Coles and Martha Ainsley Taylor, Stephen and Drew Wells, Ren Long, and Mac Long. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lorenza D Long, Jr; and brother, Howard Oliver Worrell, Jr.
