James Michael Brantley, 33, of Lugoff, died Thursday, September 14, 2017. Born in Augusta, GA, on October 14, 1983, he was the son of Cindy Barnes Dominici and James Wallace Brantley. James was employed by Publix for 12 years. He enjoyed reading and listening to mystery podcasts. James loved his wife, Jennifer, of six years, his family and fur babies.

He is survived by his loving wife, Jennifer Baroody Brantley; mother and stepfather, Cindy Dominici (David) of Evans, GA; father and stepmother, James W. Brantley (Joanna) of North Augusta, SC; sister, Lainey Folden of Evans, GA; stepsister, Ryan Thornton of North Augusta, SC. Also surviving are his maternal grandmother, Dean Morgan and paternal grandmother, Juanita Brantley, both of Louisville, GA; father and mother-in-law, George and Nancy Baroody; brother-in-law, Jason Baroody (Trish); sister-in-law, Sarah Baroody; as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.

The service for James will be held 1:30 o'clock, Sunday, September 17th at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext, Columbia, with The Rev. George Baroody, Jr, officiating. Burial will follow in Piedmont Cemetery, Bishopville, SC, at 3:30. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 o'clock, Saturday evening at the funeral home.
