James Robinson, Jr., 72, of Winnsboro, SC, died Monday, June 21, 2021. Born December 21, 1948, in Winnsboro, he was a son of the late James and Rosie M. Robinson and Lugenia Jackson Robinson.
Mr. Robinson worked in the construction industry for much of his life. He was a very simple man and will be remembered for his courteous disposition and his willingness to help everyone.
Mr. Robinson enjoyed completing crossword puzzle books and watching Law & Order.
Survivors include his children, Michele L. Robinson-Wright (Javar) of North Carolina, Justin DeDrake Robinson (Adrienne) of Texas, and Reneasha Robinson of Winnsboro; grandchildren, Maliyah Robinson, Auriana Wright, Reese Robinson, and Ayana Robinson; siblings, Ruth Robinson, Ernest Weldon (Loretta), Bobbie Sowell, Lillie Robinson, Doresa Thompson (Randy), Roosevelt Robinson (Patricia), Lonzell Robinson (Joanne), Inez Boyd, Bernard), Ester Mozie (Alfred), Glenda Robinson; sister-in-law, Edwina Milton (David); brother-in-law, Melvin Cook (Carolyn); special aunt, Mary V. Brown; as well as a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Diana Cook Robinson; sister, Mary L. Gaither.
The funeral service for Mr. Robinson will be held privately.
