James "Jim" R. Morgan, age 75, of Joppa, MD passed away on January 8, 2019 at Gilchrist Center for Hospice Care in Towson, MD. Born in Chickamauga, Georgia, he was the son of Ralph W. and Billie (Howard) Morgan. He was a Captain in the Air Force from 1965-1970 where he was a commanding officer over munitions. He was a member of the Joppatowne Garden Club and active with his church, Good Shepherd Presbyterian. He loved photography, was an avid fan of Clemson University, football, and enjoyed traveling to be with his family.

Mr. Morgan is survived by his wife, Hazel; two sons, Timothy J. Morgan of Greenfield, IN and Stephen T. Morgan of Los Angeles, CA and his wife, Jenny; granddaughter, Emily D. Morgan; two sisters, Patricia Franklin of Hartsville, SC, Sherry Braswell of NC; brother, Glenn Morgan of Laurens, SC; and many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service for Jim, will be held 10 o'clock, Saturday, July 6, 2019 at Crescent Hill Memorial Gardens, Columbia. The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
