James Kenneth Waldron, 90, of Gilbert, died Tuesday, May 28, 2024. Born in Brittons Neck, SC, on November 30, 1933, he was a son of the late Willian Benny Waldron and Mary Eugene Woodbury Waldron.
Mr. Waldron was a member of the Dentsville Masonic Lodge where he was Past Master and was a member of the Yorkrite. He honorably served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He was a member of Rehoboth United Methodist Church and volunteered with their food bank for many years. Mr. Waldron was also an active member of the Methodist Men's Group from the church.
He is survived by his children, William Benny Waldron (Pam), Deborah DeHihns (Gibbes), and Sharon N. Rawl (Russell); grandchildren, Tonya Hallman (Gary), Melissa A. YuHas (Matt), Joshua DeHihns, and Amanda M. Waldron; and great grandchildren, Peyton, Everly Ann, and Walter James.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley A. Waldron; sisters, Ethel Dozier and Mary Jho Floyd; and brother, Marion Benny Waldron.
The funeral service for Mr. Waldron will be held on Friday, May 31st, at 11 o'clock at Rehoboth United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the church beginning at 10 o'clock. Burial will follow in Crescent Hill Memorial Gardens. Shives Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel, is assisting the family.
