James Dewey Wright, 64, of Columbia, passed away on Monday, January 3, 2022. Born on August 21, 1957, in Columbia, SC, he was the son of Imogene Hood Wright and the late Wallace Gordon Wright.

Survivors include his sons, Brian T. Wright (Misty) and James Dewey Wright Jr. (Kathryn); daughter, Sara E. Young (Ian); mother, Imogene "Genie" H. Wright; brother, Gordon L. Wright (Katherine); sisters, Dorothy J. Stafford and Genie W. Frierson (Don); grandchildren, Dylan, Drake, Destiny, Landan, London, and Samantha; along with many loving nieces and nephews.

Friends and family who would like to pay their respects and view Mr. Wright may do so between the hours of 9 and 5 o'clock on Saturday, January 8th, at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext, Columbia, SC 29223.
