Jane Margaret Regal Fling, 96, of Columbia, died Thursday, August 10, 2017. Born June 25, 1921 in Richland County, she was a daughter of the late Fritz Regal and Mildred Ryemann. Widow of the late Rev. John Wesley Fling, she took pride in supporting her husband and his ministry. She was a member of Earlewood Baptist Church and loved to draw.

Survivors include her son, John Fling, Jr (Amy); daughter-in-law, Miriam Fling; and grandchildren, Sarah Fling and Richard Fling, II. In addition to her parents and husband, Jane is preceded in death by a son, Richard Fling, and brothers, Carl and Louie Regal.

The funeral for Mrs. Fling will be held 12 o'clock on Monday, August 14th at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext, Columbia. Burial will follow in St. Peters Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 until 6 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the funeral home.
