Jane McSwain Rowell, 69, of Columbia, went home to be with the Lord on September 20, 2018. Born on September 7, 1949 in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late L.F. "Mac" and Shirley B. McSwain.

Mrs. Rowell is survived by her husband, Jim Rowell; daughters, Marcie Chestnut (Michael) and Jennifer Richter (Jim); grandchildren, Brittany Legg (Brett), Katie Arnold, Hayden Richter, and Laurel Richter; great-grandchildren, Bailey and Brielle Legg; as well as a devoted family friend, Allen Arnold.

A devoted member of Forest Lake Presbyterian Church, she led a Christ centered life focused on studying God's word, writing bible studies, and witnessing His love and power to others.

A resurrection service celebrating Mrs. Rowell's life will be held at 11 o'clock, Saturday, September 29, 2018 at Forest Lake Presbyterian Church. A reception will follow in the church parlor. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
