Janie Lorraine Suite, 77, of Columbia, died Sunday, December 20, 2020. Born in Florence County, SC, on March 29, 1943, she was a daughter of the late Bennie and Letha Hanniford Smith. Janie was a member of Denny Terrace Baptist Church where she enjoyed teaching Sunday School for many years.

Survivors include her husband, Peter E. Suite; daughters, Melissa Moody (David), of Lexington, Jeannie Stone, of Barnwell, SC; six grandchildren, Patricia, Seth, Caleb, William, Aimsley and Daniel; two great-grandchildren, Sia and Shyla; as well as a brother, Jessie Smith. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her half-brother, Dwight Hanniford.

The funeral service for Mrs. Suite will be held 2 o'clock, Wednesday, December 23rd, at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia. Burial will follow the service at Crescent Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 1 o'clock.
