Wesley Jason Kinsey, 42, of Columbia, died Wednesday, February 10, 2016. Born in Paducah, KY, on July 29, 1973, he was the son of Rhonda Johnston Kinsey and Billy Joe Kinsey. Jason loved community theatre and actively participated in Workshop Theatre, Trustus Theatre and Town Theatre. He also loved music and was a member of the choir at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. He was an avid Gamecock fan and worked at The University of South Carolina as Conference Coordinator. Jason was also President Elect of The AIDS Benefit Foundation of South Carolina.

In addition to his mother of Paducah, KY, and his father of Hernando, FL, he is survived by his sister, Kim Kinsey Wallace (Jeff); and nephew, David Wayne Wallace all of Paducah, KY; special family friends, Renee and Chuck Henderson, and their son, Hayden.

A funeral service will be held 5 o'clock, Friday, February 12th at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, Columbia. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 3 o'clock. Additional services will be held in his hometown of Paducah, KY, under the direction of Milner & Orr Funeral Home.
