Jean Jenkins Jones, 92, of Columbia, died on Monday, June 30, 2025. Born on April 3, 1933, in Tarboro, NC, she was a daughter of the late Edward Earl Jenkins and Ora Mae Traylor Jenkins. She was a charter member of Northeast Presbyterian Church. Jean was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

She is survived by her children, William Emory Jones, Jr., Kathryn Jones Dupuy (Tony), and Benjamin C. Jones. She is also survived by her grandson, Charles Dupuy (Elise); great grandchildren, Vivien Dupuy and Jones Dupuy, as well as her siblings, Dorothy Morris, Jesse Jenkins, and Charles Jenkins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William E. "Bill" Jones, Sr. and her brother, Earl Jenkins.

The graveside service for Mrs. Jones will be held at 1 o'clock, Thursday, July 3rd, in the churchyard of Northeast Presbyterian Church, 601 Polo Road, Columbia 29223. The Rev. Eric Walter will officiate.
