Jean Amick Munn, 79, of Columbia, died unexpectedly on Sunday, December 27, 2020. Born September 20, 1941 in Newberry County, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Floyd and Sarah Cannon Amick. She was a long-standing member of Union United Methodist Church in Irmo, SC and enjoyed a long career as a nurse. She graduated from Mid Carolina High School and Columbia Hospital School of Nursing. Many would describe her as a social butterfly with a slight competitive streak, especially when playing bridge. She loved her friends and family deeply; but was most proud of her 8 grandsons.

Survivors include her loving husband of 57 years, James F. Munn Jr.; son, Todd Munn (Bonnie); daughter Kim Chandler (Rand); grandsons, Bryson, Noah, Trey and Caelen Munn of Charleston, SC and Rand Jr., Reed, Riley and Ross Chandler of Greenville, NC; sisters, Sandra Daghestani, Lynn Burns and Karen West; as well as her brothers, Donnie and Richard Amick.
A graveside service will be held 2 o'clock Saturday March 27th at Ebenezer Methodist Church cemetery, 1019 Ebenezer Road, Lugoff, SC. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel is assisting the family.
