Obituary
Jeffrey Gilhousen Harper, 67, of Elgin, SC, died on September 28, 2025. Born on August 26, 1958, in Fayetteville, NC, he was a son of the late Ardis Clinton Harper and the late June Marie Harper.
Jeffrey had a deep love for fishing and found joy in the simple pleasures of life, like grocery shopping. He was an avid reader, always taking the opportunity to lose himself in a good book. His strong faith and passion for God guided him throughout his life, and his devotion was an inspiration to those around him. Jeffrey will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Survivors include his brothers, Blair Harper, Jon Harper, Jim Harper, and George Harper; sisters, Addie Calvitt (Jeff), and Betty Harper; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that all donations be made to The American Heart Association, 887 Johnnie Dodds Blvd, Suite 110, Mt. Pleasant, SC, 29464, in loving memory of Mr. Jeffrey G. Harper.
Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
