Presenting Jeffrey JoeNathan Swinton for enshrinement into the Hall of Fame of our Hearts. Jeffrey started his season of life on September 4, 1971, in Georgetown, South Carolina. Created by Jessie Lee Swinton Scott and Willie Dranford Felder. He was a true country boy at heart starting his journey to knowledge at Williamsburg Blakey Elementary and Middle, and Kingstree Senior High School. He later found that he loved South Carolina but didn't have many growth opportunities in the country, so he moved to Columbia. Jeffrey embodied what it meant to be a Gamecock and he remained in Irmo, South Carolina until his season of life ended on October 24, 2022.
One look at Jeffrey and it was obvious he was blessed with his mother's good looks, but he was embedded with his father's personality. Jeffrey will always be remembered as "The Life of the Party" and the word stranger did not exist in his book of plays. His personality and smile were infectious to anyone who had ever met him. His love for God and his family was his guiding force in his game of life. He would never let anyone forget that he was "Bonafide, Certified, Official" and there was no other explanation ever needed to describe him!
Jeffrey's love for driving landed him a position as a Route Driver for Le Bleu Corporation where he met the calm to his chaos, Victoria. They were married on June 4, 2011, and Jeffrey quickly lived by the quote, "HAPPY WIFE, HAPPY LIFE". They thought their beautiful blended family was complete until God blessed them with their two son's Trustin and Justus AKA: The Terror Squad.
Jeffrey finally obtained his CDL and learned to "Let It Walk" from The Truck Driver Institute of SC in 2018 at the age of 47. Who said that 47 was too old for a career change? Not long after Jeffrey joined Team Werner where he thrived and was known as a true "Team Player". His final touchdown delivery was on October 24, 2022, at the Home Depot on Forum Drive in Columbia, SC. The Home Depot Team with their dedicated coach Jason assisted Jeffrey with his final "Pick 6" (interception & touch down for those not familiar with football).
He leaves to cherish his stats and memories: His wife, Victoria Hodges Swinton, his children, Jeffrey Akeem Swinton (31), Niaja Swinton (24), Aiyanna Swinton (22), Rhianna Talbert (14), Trustin Swinton (10), and Justus Swinton (8), his mother and step father, Jessie Lee Swinton Scott and Gus Scott, his father, Willie Dranford Felder (Deceased), his sisters, LaTesha, Donyell Young and Telma Holmes, his brothers Delbert Scott and Vincent Scott as well as a host of fans, friends, and family.
