A funeral service for Jennie E. Stevans, of Columbia, will be held at 1 o'clock, Saturday, March 4th, 2017 at Northeast Presbyterian Church, 601 Polo Road, Columbia. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 12:30 in the Grande Hall. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.

Mrs. Stevans passed away on Sunday, February 26th at the age of 98. She and her husband, the late Rev. Joseph Stevans, served in Mission Churches, Youth for Christ, and Bible Clubs. Mrs. Stevans was a loving mother and was her husband's greatest supporter.

She is survived by her children, Rev. Jay Stevans (Martha) of Elk Grove, CA, and Sally E. Bussey (Frank) of Columbia, SC; and six grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren.
