Jennifer Berger passed away on December 23, 2022. She was the youngest of six children, born on September 20, 1952 to Joe and Mary Hudson (of blessed memory). Jennifer was reared in Elgin, SC, and went on to earn her undergraduate and master's degrees from the University of South Carolina. Led by her loving servant's heart and empathetic spirit, Jennifer worked with special needs children, then as a guidance counselor at E.L. Wright Middle School. Her proudest accomplishment, however, was becoming a mother to her two surviving children, Kenneth (Grace) and Francie Berger, both of whom are lawyers. For many years, Jennifer volunteered at her children's schools, accompanied them on field trips, served as team mom, and made their happiness her guiding light. In addition to her children, Jennifer is survived by her siblings: Joe Hudson (Dorothy), Judy Motley (James), Bob Hudson (Linda), John Hudson (Debra), and Francis Hudson (Mary), as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews. The family will be holding a private memorial service. In lieu of flowers, please support one of Jennifer's favorite charities, Special Olympics of South Carolina.
