Jimmy Charles Furtick, 74, of Gaston, died on Thursday, April 4, 2024. Born in Lexington County, on December 27, 1949, he was a son of the late Claude Furtick and Violet Spires Furtick. Mr. Furtick was raised in Calhoun County and enjoyed working on cars, riding horses and spending time with his family. He was self employed in Roofing work for many years.

Survivors include his children, Christopher Furtick, Roddy Furtick (Maribel), Jason Furtick (Kimberly) and Kristen McCollum; grandchildren, Dakota, and C.J. Furtick, Greyson, Ariah, Gavyn and Grant Mack and Jonah Furtick; as well as his siblings, Frances Furtick and Stanley Furtick; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Ross Furtick, Milo Furtick, Marcella Crim and Jessie Chavis.

The service for Mr. Furtick will be held at 2 o'clock, Sunday, April 14th, at Trinity Baptist Tabernacle (Gaston, SC). The family will receive friends following the service. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
