Mrs. Joan Christine DuBose Moore, 72, of Columbia, died on Sunday, June 16, 2013. Born on March 29, 1941, in Hartsville, SC, she was a daughter of the late Haskell B. and Catherine Victoria DuBose.

Mrs. Moore, an engineer, retired from Bell South after more than thirty years of service. She was a member of Eau Claire Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Lonnie Ray Moore; son, Joel (Diana) Moore of Lexington; grandchildren, Logan, Hope, Lillian, and Cole. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Marlys Rieber; brother, Harold B. DuBose, and sister-in-law, Eloise DuBose.

A funeral service for Mrs. Moore will be held 11 o'clock, Friday, June 21, 2013 at Eau Claire Baptist Church, with The Rev. James A. Goudelock and The Rev. Kelly Strum officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 845 Leesburg Rd., Columbia. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 until 8 o'clock, at Shives Funeral Home, 5202 Colonial Drive, Columbia.
