John Wesley "JW" Blizzard, Jr., 83, of Lugoff, died on Saturday, April 10, 2021. Born in Columbia, SC, on January 5, 1938, he was a son of the late John Wesley and Irene Richardson Blizzard. JW was always willing to help others in need and he was an avid junk collector. He spent his career as a Welder, Mechanic and inventing things.

Survivors include his sons, John Henry Blizzard, James Wesley Blizzard (Deborah), and Joe Frank Blizzard (Donna); son-in-law, Tally Peake; grandchildren, Sandy Blizzard (Dempsey), Joe Blizzard (Brittany), Kristi Blizzard, Brody Peake, and Zach Peake; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren by love; two nephews; great nieces and nephews; as well as the love of his life, Molly Louise Blizzard. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Don Allen Blizzard; daughter, Mary Lou Blizzard Peake; and brother, Roy Blizzard.

The funeral service for Mr. Blizzard will be held at 4 o'clock, Tuesday April 13, 2021, at Fox Hill Baptist Church in Lugoff, SC. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the church beginning at 3 o'clock. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
