John Robert "Bob" Brazel, 82, of Columbia, died Monday, October 20, 2014. Born February 12, 1932 in Greenwood, SC, he was a son of the late Hozea Lee Brazell and Mary Campbell Brazell. A 20 year veteran of the US Air Force, Bob served in during the Vietnam War, and retired as Sr. Master Sargent. Following his military service, he was a furniture manufacturer's representative for 17 years and a ranger at Northwoods Golf Club.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Mildred "Millie" Brazel; a daughter, Cathy Kloman; a son, Tony (Linda) Brazel, all of Columbia; grandchildren, Tara and Ashley; as well as a cousin, Olin (Marie) Campbell of North Carolina.

The funeral service for Mr. Brazel will be held 9 o'clock, Friday, October 24th at Shives Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel, 5202 Colonial Drive, Columbia.
