Obituary
John Edward Blizzard, Jr., 75, went home to be with our Lord and Savior on Friday, January 1, 2021. Born September 24, 1945 in Columbia, he was the son of the late John Edward Blizzard, Sr. and Modell Crummie Blizzard.
A member of Denny Terrace Baptist Church, Mr. Blizzard served and was honorably discharged from the US NAVY. He went on to work for and retire from the City of Columbia Public Works Department.
Survivors include his sister, Brenda Anne Goodman, of Lexington, SC; daughter, Tanya Modell Blizzard of Columbia; niece Patricia Wine of Lexington, SC; grandchildren; great grandchildren; along with many nieces, and nephews.
Due to Covid concerns, a private graveside for Mr. Blizzard will be held at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel is assisting the family.
