John Lockwood Glenn, IV, 44, of Columbia, died on Sunday, February 11, 2024. Born February 21, 1979, in Columbia, he was the son of John Lockwood Glenn, III of West Columbia, SC, and Melonie Ellis Messer of Columbia. Mr. Glenn enjoyed listening to music, cooking, and being with his family, especially his kids. He loved to be outside, particularly when given the opportunity to take a long walk, go fishing, or be at the beach or near water.

Surviving in addition to his parents are his son, John Michael Glenn; significant other, Catherine Young; stepdaughters, even though he never would say step, Emily Mae Young and Reagan Elizabeth Young, and his dog, Otis Redding Glenn. He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Michael David Messer.

A celebration of life for Mr. Glenn will be held at 2 o'clock, Saturday, February 17th at Calvary Baptist Church, 500 S Kilbourne Rd, Columbia, SC 29205, with Pastor Jeff Scott officiating. The family will receive friends following the memorial service in the church fellowship hall.
