Mr. John H. Johnson was born on October 11, 1946 in Clarendon County, SC. He was born to the late Mr. and Mrs. John Johnson Sr. Mr. Johnson ended his journey peacefully on Wednesday, January 13, 2021.
John was a compassionate and loving person, who loved to fish and hunt. He was quite the craftsman and an expert with firearms. He spent quality time with his favorite dog, Buddy, family and friends.
A man of few words, but could always tell you what was going on. Before departing his earthly life, he received Christ as his Lord and Savior.
Mr. John H. Johnson was a remarkable father, grandfather and friend.
He leaves to cherish his sons, William Johnson of Hopkins, John Johnson Jr. of West Columbia and Steve Buchanan of Columbia; his daughter, Paula Quinn of Blythewood; two grandchildren, Charlie Johnson and Kaylee Woody; one daughter in love, Chrissy Woody; four extended family members, Shorty, Teresa, Jazmin and Lauryn; a host of dear relatives and friends.
A private memorial service will be held at 5:00 pm on Sunday, January 17, 2021. A livestream of this event will be available by visiting our website at www.shivesfuneralhome.com .
