Mr. John L. Leitner's Obituary
John Lott Leitner, 86, was born on July 15, 1934 and went to sleep in death on November 9, 2020.
John is survived by his wife of 66 years, Hazel M. Leitner; his sister, Louise Harper; three daughters, Susan Bergloff (James Bergloff), Carol Helman (Randy Helman), and Ruth Covington (David Covington); 9 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
John was a hard-working provider for his family, worked as a custom homebuilder in Columbia for more than 65 years. Quality craftsmanship was a hallmark of his business.
John was a character, he would bring a smile to all those he would meet. He was a loving and caring individual. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
As one of Jehovah's Witnesses, John looked forward to a resurrection here on earth where he will get to be reunited with family, friends and use his creative talents to the full.
Public memorial will be set at a later date. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
