John Patrick Magarian, 76, of West Columbia, passed away on June 13, 2023, while surrounded by his loving family. John was born on April 29, 1947, to Leo and Mary Quinn Magarian in Manhattan, New York. John was survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Virginia Magarian.

A true American, John proudly served his country in the United States Army. John loved sneaking away to fish in Florida, shopping at Costco, watching horse racing, and catching up on American politics. He will always be remembered for his love of his family and the smile he would put on everyone's face. As a faithful believer, he would be sure to always share the love of Christ, 1 Corinthians 15:1-4, to everyone he met.

In addition to his wife, survivors include his daughter, Meredith Falabella; sons, Leo Magarian, John Magarian (Diane); grandchildren, Gabrielle, Richard, Peter, James; sister-in-law, Patricia Conners; and uncle, Dan Connors. In addition to his parents, John is predeceased by his siblings, Arlene Feeser and Arthur Magarian.

The funeral service for John will be held at 9:30 o'clock on Monday, June 19, 2023, at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Extension, Columbia, SC 29223. Burial will be private. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the Magarian family.
