Mr. Joseph A. Bock, 87, of Columbia, died Tuesday, July 28, 2015. Born on March 16, 1928, in Herzogenaurach, Germany, he was a son of the late Johan Bock and Barbara Gotz Bock. Mr. Bock and his family moved from Germany to California in 1955, and then to South Carolina in 1968. In Columbia he worked with Binswanger Glass Co., McCrory Construction, and later retired from Mashburn Construction Company. Mr. Bock was a gifted craftsman and a creator of stained glass.

Mr. Bock is survived by his wife of 65 years, Anna Maria Hanisch Bock; sons, Bert Bock (Cristina), and Harold Bock (Patricia Fowler Bock), all of Columbia; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and sister, Gretel Fischer, of Germany. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three siblings.
