Obituary

Joseph "Panama" Novitski, 71, of Columbia, died on Tuesday, July 9th, 2024. He was born on August 2, 1952 in Montros, Pa. to Mary and Walter Novitski.

He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Sandy Grace Novitski; two daughters, Natasha Holiday of Kershaw, S.C. and Tiffany Powell of Camden, S.C.; three grandsons, Ryan, Cameron and Rhett Powell, and granddaughter Kennedy Holiday; step-sons Trent Register (Suzanne) and Josh Register(Laura) ; and step-grandchildren Sydney and Sawyer Register.

Known and loved by all as" Panama", he was a dedicated member of the Carolina Rebels Motorcycle Club in Sumter, SC and rode proudly with his group of brothers for over 32 years. He enjoyed a long career with Ed Robinson Dry Cleaners for over 30 years. He also enjoyed being a member of Pam's Front Porch Pool League.

The family will receive friends for a visitation on Monday, July 15, 2024 from 11 am until 12 pm at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel. There will be a reception immediately following at CRMC in Sumter, S.C.

In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to ABATE of SC, a motorcycle advocacy group that he worked closely with for many years. And to end this obituary, we will leave it here with the crab legs!
