Josephine "Jo" Elydia McBride Cory, 81, peacefully passed away Friday, September 30, 2016. Born June 4, 1935 in Ridgeland, SC, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Samuel McBride and Sarah Evalena Boyles Woods McBride. She grew up in Ridgeland and moved to Columbia as a teenager. She worked at Stone Manufacturing as a seamstress until her retirement. She loved dancing, listening to music and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her son, Ronald W. Cory (Carolyn); her daughter, Karla C. Isaac (Mike); grandsons, Michael Isaac (Adam) and Mitchell Isaac (Julianne); great grandsons, Kaleb and Keegan; and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 1 until 3 o'clock, Saturday, October 8th at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia. Her family would like to thank Carolina Gardens and Agape Hospice for all the care and love she was given.
