On Sunday January 9, 2022, the LORD requested one of earth's angels, Jo Montoya, to come home to Him.
Jo was born in Sugar City, Colorado on March 19, 1942, into a family of nine children, eight girls and one boy; and was raised in Ordway, Colorado.
On November 9, 1963, Jo married the love of her life Jose Guillermo Montoya, Jr. "Tony". They had two children, and one grandchild. Jo believed strongly in GOD, the Catholic faith and her family. She immersed herself in both family and church.
After retirement, Jo became more involved in her church, Saint John Neumann, where she served as a Eucharistic minister, was a member of the Columbiettes, as well as volunteered for various other church activities. She enjoyed dancing, sewing, knitting, and traveling. Her greatest joy was being a grandmother.
Survivors Include: her husband of 58 years, Tony Montoya; daughter, Cathy Turner (Bruce); son, Anthony Montoya; grandson, Carlos Morales; sisters, Ann Thompson and Sharon Salas; as well as multiple nieces, nephews and godchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Crescenscio Salas and Rosa Gonzales Salas; brother, Bob Salas; and sisters, Frances Perez, Andrea Rodriguez, Mary Marlow, Stella Apodaca, and Carol Sandoval.
She will be missed immensely. Until we see you again!!
