Joyce Younginer Tindal Boney, 82, of Blythewood, died on Sunday, November 2, 2025. Born in Gulfport, Mississippi, on August 1, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Eddie Louis and Marie Verita Abbott Younginer.

Mrs. Boney retired after a career of nearly 40 years with Westinghouse. During her retirement, she enjoyed traveling as well as dancing, particularly Shagging, with her late husband, Pete. Those who knew her will always remember her ability to gather people together with her warm and gentle demeanor. As a devoted and avid supporter of all things Gamecock Football, along with her husband, she traveled to each and every football game for many years.

Survivors include her daughters, Tina Tindal, Sheri Mehaffey (BJ) and Brandi Manuel (Todd); and grandsons, Cameron Mehaffey (Meghan) and Wyman Baker Manuel. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Herman "Pete" Boney.

The funeral service for Mrs. Boney will be held at 3:30 o'clock, Thursday, November 6th, at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia, with Rev. Jamie Ballentine officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the funeral home beginning at 2:30 o'clock. A private burial will be held following the service in Sandy Level Baptist Church Cemetery.
