Brenda Joyce Jackson Starnes, 73, of Blythewood, died peacefully at home, Thursday, December 31, 2015. Born December 22, 1942 in Horry County, she was a daughter of the late James Olan and Elinor Housand Jackson and was a former member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Henry S. Starnes, Sr.; a son, Henry S. "Sandy" Starnes, Jr. of Blythewood; brothers, Jack Jackson (Evelyn) of Nichols, SC and Ernie Jackson of Florence; sister, Jane Dawkins of Elgin; as well as numerous nieces and nephews; family friend, Cecil Sansbury

A service will be held 7 o'clock, Wednesday, January 6th at Shives Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel, 5202 Colonial Drive, Columbia, with Pastor Harry Varn officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 6 o'clock.
