Mrs. Juanita Pauline Bravo Daniel of Gaston, SC, was promoted to heaven on October 10, 2019, at the age of 92. Born on May 6, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Octave C. and Philomene E. Bravo of New Orleans, LA. She was the beloved wife of the late Reverend John Nelson Daniel of Columbia, SC for 47 years.
Surviving are her four daughters; Katherine Ford of Pelion, SC, Martha (Heyward) Richardson of Lugoff, SC, Florence Gale (Randy) Rooker of Charleston, SC, Jennie (Tim) Hardin of Gilbert, SC, one son, Danny (Diana) Daniel of Montgomery, TX, and 91 total grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, and beloved husband, she was preceded in death by a son in law, Robert Ford, and older sister, Marie Gibson.
Mrs. Juanita received Jesus Christ as her personal Saviour in 1952 at the age of 25 and was a faithful, dedicated church member of Gantt Street Baptist Church of Cayce, SC, where she loved to sing solos and sing in the church choir. She was a member of the Joyful Sunlighters Sunday School class, and faithfully attended the Ladies Fellowship, Senior Adult Fellowship, and the Widow/Widower Fellowship. Mrs. Juanita Daniel was the former Pastor's wife of Liberty Baptist Church of Columbia, SC, where she also taught Sunday School for many years. She was a lady of Godly character. She represented her Christ so well by having a wonderful testimony of pointing others to her Saviour. She was well known for her heartfelt singing about her Lord. In the last two years of her life, her mission field was NHC of Lexington, where she faithfully witnessed, testified, and sang of her love for her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Many of the workers there testified of her unwavering faith. Her hobbies included singing, planting flowers, especially red roses, and bird watching, her favorite being the hummingbird.
A celebration of her life will be conducted at the Gantt Street Baptist Church, 2121 Gantt Street, Cayce, SC on Monday, October 14 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Gene Rowell officiating. The family will receive friends at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service at the church. The burial will follow the service in the Alpine Baptist Church cemetery, 4930 Percival Road, Columbia.
