Judith Harris, 99, of Ridgeway, died Wednesday, July 18, 2018. Born on August 23, 1918, in Washington D.C., she was the daughter of the late John Edward Gunn, Sr. and Julia Jack Gunn.

Survivors include her sister, Ann Jones; children, Janet H. Powell (John), Warren B. Harris, Jack Edward Harris (Phyllis), and Julia H. Evans (Marty); nine grandchildren, Randy, Jodie, Sue Ann, Jonathan, Ryan, Micha, Shawn, Janna, and Jared; as well as nineteen great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Elton Harris; sisters, Floy Gunn Hobbs and Carolyn Gunn Cober; as well as her brother, John E. Gunn, Jr.

The service for Mrs. Harris will be held 5 o'clock, Saturday, July 21st at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia. The family will receive friends following the service. A committal service will be held 10 o'clock Saturday, July 28th Jefferson Memorial Gardens, 1591 Gadsden Hwy, Birmingham, AL. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
