Obituary

Julia P. Lasseter, 77, of West Columbia, died Saturday, May 10, 2014. Born in Columbia on March 31, 1937, she was a daughter of the late Beuford E. Fulmer, Sr., and Elnora Campbell Fulmer. Mrs. Lasseter was a member of the Benevolent Committee at Covenant Community Fellowship.

Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Roy Lasseter; daughters, Ruth Baker (Mike), Tammy Lasseter, Sherl Fore (Steve) all of Lexington; a son, Roy Lasseter, Jr. (Tricia) of Blythewood; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Janie Harness of Beaver, OH, and Mary McDaniel of Columbia; a brother, J. O. "Beads" Fulmer (Betty Ruth) of Eastover. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers.

The funeral service for Mrs. Lasseter will be held at 11 o'clock, Wednesday at Dunn's Chapel, 281 Chapel Road, West Columbia, with The Rev. Tom Atten officiating. Interment will follow in Southland Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 o'clock Tuesday evening at Shives Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel, 5202 Colonial Drive, Columbia.
