Mrs. Julia Patricia McDonald, 89, of Blythewood, died on Wednesday, November 27, 2024. Born on March 9, 1935, in Methuen, MA, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Leslie Johnson and the late Julia Theresa Johnson.

Mrs. McDonald was a lifelong resident of Andover, Massachusetts until her move to South Carolina in 2013. She enjoyed reading mysteries, rescuing animals and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her daughters, Patricia Milam and Shelia Greenberg; grandchildren, Christopher Milam (Michelle), Shoshanna Greenberg, Scott Milam (Theresia), and William Greenberg; and great-grandchildren, Briar Milam, Madlynn Greenberg, and Sebastian Greenberg.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Edward McDonald; son, Kevin McDonald; and sons-in-law, Terry Milam and Andrew Greenberg.

The graveside service for Mrs. McDonald will be held at 3 o'clock, Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at Memorial Gardens of Columbia, 9301 Wilson Blvd, Columbia, SC 29203. The family will receive friends from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm prior to the service at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road, Ext., Columbia, SC 29223.
