Julius C. Branham, 78, of Elgin, died Saturday, November 2, 2013. Born June 14, 1935 in Columbia, SC, he was a son of the late David Palmer and Edna Trapp Branham. Mr. Branham worked as a repairman with Shakespeare Manufacturing for over 45 years. A loving father and devoted husband, he will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Meritta Gardner Branham; son, Justin C. Branham and wife Cynthia; granddaughter, Jessica Branham and fiancé' Roy Jernigan; and great granddaughter, Brooklyn Jernigan. In addition to his parents, Mr. Branham was preceded in death by his sons, Bobby, Dean, and Gary Branham.

The funeral service for Mr. Branham will be held at 3 o'clock, Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at Shives Funeral Home, 5202 Colonial Dr., Columbia with the Rev. Brian Ogburn officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association in South Carolina, 44-A Markfield Drive, Charleston, SC, 29407.
