Julius W. Richburg, 77, of Columbia, died December 12, 2019. Born in Manning, SC on October 5, 1942, he was a son of the late Marshall and Jewell Richburg.
A US Marine recruit, he went on to work at Owen Steel and retired after 30 years. Mr. Richburg was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He enjoyed visiting the VFW for the music and dancing.
Survivors include his sons, Donnie Richburg, Mike Richburg (Teri), Matt Richburg (Tina), Brian Richburg; grandchildren, Micheal, Curtis, Matthew, Drew, Darlene, Gracie Richburg, and David Hoffman; three great grandchildren; brothers, Larry Richburg (Debbie), Jimmy Richburg (Mary), Ed Richburg (Missy); sister-in-law, Judy Mae Richburg; former spouse, Anna Richburg; as well as his longtime companion and soulmate Carolyn Freeman. In addition to his parents, Julius was preceded in death by his stepfather, Clyde Lowder; brother, Jerry Richburg; and daughter-in-law, George Richburg.
A graveside service for Mr. Richburg will be held 2 o'clock, Friday, December 20, 2019, at Dust to Dust Nature Reserve Cemetery, 208 Nulty Crossing, Swansea, SC.
