K. Paul Valdes, 62, of Columbia, died Friday, October 23, 2015. He was born June 26, 1953 in Amityville, NY and was the son of Marilyn Valdes. Paul was a former Vice President of Membership Sales with the Better Business Bureau and spent many years in customer service with his favorite restaurant Red Lobster. He was his children's best friend and was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 38 years, Patricia C. Valdes; children, Bryan Scott Valdes, Craig Anthony Valdes, and Amanda Joy Valdes; grandchildren, Noah Valdes and Charles and Timothy Jamison; sisters, Elizabeth Valdes McIntosh and Cathy Valdes; as well as all of his "adopted" children he came to love over the years.

A service will be held 10 o'clock, Sunday, November 1st at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia. The family will greet friends following the service.
