Mrs. Kathryn Fae Fleischman Guinn, 87, of Columbia, died Friday, August 22, 2014. Born February 13, 1927, in Greenville, SC, she was a daughter of the late Isaac Henry Fleischman and Fannye Manheim David Fleischman.
A member of Unity Church of Columbia, Mrs. Guinn served as Chairperson of the Columbia Chapter of Spiritual Frontiers Fellowship International. She was the State Director, Southern Zone Director, and served on the International Board of Directors of Parents Without Partners. Her work as a dental assistant at Fort Jackson led her to become the first Vice President of the National Federation of Federal Employees.
Survivors include her sons, Charles David Guinn, and Paul Stanley Guinn; daughter, Kathryn Madeline Guinn; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Charles Stanley Guinn; a sister, Madeline F. Glaser, and brothers, Keith Marcus Fleischman, and Edwin David Fleischman, Sr..
A graveside service will be held at 10 o'clock, Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 7100 Garners Ferry Rd, Columbia. The family will greet friends following the service. Memorials may be made to Unity of Columbia, 1801 LeGrand Rd, Columbia, SC, 29223.
