Katie Edge Starnes, 91, of Cedar Creek, died on Monday, January 27, 2025. Born in Horry County, SC, on April 13, 1933, she was a daughter of the late F. Crossland Edge and Costie Lewis Edge. She was a longtime member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church and a devoted Homemaker, Farmer and Business Owner.

Survivors include her brother, Ruben K. Edge, of Conway, SC; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Donald Starnes; sister, Shirley E. James; and brothers, Al Edge and W. Ralph Edge.

The graveside service for Mrs. Starnes will be held at 1 o'clock, Thursday, January 30th, at Memorial Gardens of Columbia, 9301 Wilson Blvd, Columbia, SC 29203. The family will greet friends immediately following the service at the graveside. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
