Katie J. Westbrook, 74, of Columbia, died Friday, October 15, 2021. Born October 26, 1946, in Batesburg, South Carolina, she is a daughter of Katie Ilena Gobbel Johnson and the late Chester Lee Johnson. Ms. Westbrook was an accountant for over thirty years with a variety of companies, including, The Salvation Army, Sauls Realty, and Providence Hospital System. She loved to garden, and most importantly spend time with her family. Ms. Westbrook was a member Reformation Lutheran Church in Columbia.

Surviving in addition to her mother of Columbia is her daughter, Melanie L. Mundy of Columbia; great grandchildren, Jayden and Jayla Westbrook of Lexington; as well as her siblings, Mary Evans of Cayce, David Johnson (Patricia) of Columbia, and Betty Pearson (Conrad) of Prosperity. In addition to her father, Ms. Westbrook was preceded in death by her husband, James Franklin Westbrook; granddaughter, Christi Marie Mundy and her sister, Martha Ann Price.

The funeral service for Ms. Westbrook will be held at 2 o'clock Tuesday, October 19th, at Shives Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel, 5200 Colonial Drive, Columbia, SC. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, 501 Elmwood Ave, Columbia, SC.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service beginning at 1 o'clock.
