Kelly McCauslin Lavelle, 65, of Columbia, died on Saturday, November 29, 2025. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, on May 16, 1960, she was a daughter of the late James Patrick and Helen Marie Deyling McCauslin. Kelly was a loving and devoted person who enjoyed retail therapy, the Ohio State Buckeyes and music, particularly Bruce Springsteen and John Petty. She was employed for many years at IGA in Blythewood and Panera Bread. Her family was most important to her and she never missed an opportunity to spend time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Mark Howard Lavelle; daughter, Ryan Lynn Shelton (Kyle); son, Timothy William Howard (Rachel); stepdaughter, Erin Ann Lavelle; grandchildren, Chandler Morgan Shelton and Deliah Anne Howard; bonus grandson, Colton Allen Shelton; brother, Patrick James McCauslin (Terry); and brother-in-law, Terry Gills. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Robin Gills.

The service for Mrs. Lavelle will be held at a later date with plans to be announced by Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel.
