Kenneth "Jerry" Haney, 62, of Columbia, died Saturday, May 3, 2014 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Born in Union, South Carolina on July 17, 1951, he was the son of the late William "Bill" Haney and Marianne Farmer Haney. Mr. Haney graduated from Eau Claire High School in 1969 and was an original member of the beloved bluegrass band, "Bill Haney and the Zassoff Boys."

Survivors include his wife, Kathleen Haney; daughter, Annette Haney Goebelt; granddaughter, Janie Marie Goebelt of N. Augusta, SC; sister, Janet (Bobby) Dill of Columbia; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Robert "Bobby" Haney; and a sister, Karen Haney.

A memorial service for Mr. Haney will be held 2 o'clock, Saturday, May 31st at Killian Baptist Church, 577 Killian Road, Columbia. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 1 o'clock. Gifts of remembrance may be given to the Jerry Haney Memorial Fund at www.YouCaring.com .
